Lace border  being added on crochet piece

Sunrise

Woke up early and caught the sunrise so I tested the new UV lens filter. In the evening I met up with my aunt who showed me how to add the lace to my crochet piece. It takes 3times  going around the whole piece. So I am doing it on the original thicker thread one and then will go to my smaller piece to complete that too. I would love to have both done by the end of the year. Means I should work fast!

Christmas Day was wonderful. Got to spend it with family and sister managed to stay awake a bit longer today but still in pain. Today's painting was inspired by the wonderful sunrise  this morning.One of my gifts was a uv lense for my camera . While testing the camera with the sun and lights I captured the beautiful images above.  I only adjusted the size but didn't touch the color or brightness.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

My mini tree all lit up. I love watching the glow from the lights in a darkened room with Christmas music playing in the background. I have to admit I miss the pine smell of a real tree and I forgot to buy some pine spray or oil to give the illusion of a real tree.

With the festivities, Dad's birthday today and Sis's recovery from surgery I forgot to post yesterday
the completion of the crochet piece.  Am very very proud of this piece as it took many hours to make and turned out  beautiful. So now aunt and I are debating if we should make a small lace border or a thicker one and use it as coffee table runner. Ahhh the decisions.

Day 356

I had a very long day.  Went to bed at 2:30AM and woke up at 5am. Took sis to hospital at 6:30am and didn't  get home till 5pm. It is now 2:30am on the 23rd and sis just fell asleep. The operation went smoothly and her hardware removed. She is in pain and can't put any weight on her foot for another 6 weeks.
I did my crochet at the hospital and I am 5 lines away from finishing!  I got many complements on it at the waiting room :D and thank God i took it with me as we were there all day.
