I have been very excited about the office move, and I am the only one from the office that has not been at the new place since the move! Ahhhhh phone companies complicate people's lives... So lets cross fingers that tomorrow the transfer happens and I can join the rest of the group at the new place :)

Farewell

The office move happened but the phones didn't transfer yet. I spent the day and will partially tomorrow handling the phones until they are forwarded over. Sketched out one of our tropical trees leaning against the wall,one of the few objects left in the office.

Day 204 -205 Hanging in there

I was really excited this weekend as my sister could spend some time with me at our place. It was a nice change of scenery for her and gave me some time to take care of her. Plus the parents get a break too.

Decorated my sneakers with my handmade "bibila" lace and some bedazzles :) The one shoe had a hole on the top, and they are still in good condition so I wanted to save them in a creative way.
This lace is created only using thread and a needle. You work around your finger with knots. Each piece takes approximately 3 hours and 3.5 yards of thread to create.

It's been a rough week. The house feels empty without my sister, work has been rough with the move that is finally happening this weekend and the heat... oh my God, the heat. It bothers me as I think it does most people. I have been so tired that by the time I come home I just have enough time to sketch something and then veg infrontof the tv.

I have not had the heart yet to draw sis's injury. I am fascinated by the original contortion of the foot, and now the cast, and soon the boot...

Day 192

Sometimes I don't know where time goes. And I have been feeling tired. Not physically- emotionally. So walking home from the bus stop today I saw these dying flowers and snapped a picture with my phone.
Ahh the phone, another source of distress. I don't know what happened but 2 days ago the A button that also controls the asterisk and lock decided to become alive. So tomorrow I am getting a new phone- tmobile is sending me a Blackberry 9300.

So much has happened in the past 2 weeks. The most important was that my sister fell and broke her ankle, got operated on and now she has 9 screws installed. This has minimized the time I have online, but have still been creating everyday.
