It's been 10 years since that tragic day. I think all of our faith was shaken and innocence was erased. But like the Phoenix, we rose from the ashes and hopefully we have learned from that experience.
It was a wonderful experience to see survivors and family members of those who didn't, move on to the next step of their lives.The memorial was beautiful, the city of NY did a wonderful job.
After such an emotional day, that was the end of a very emotional week I decided to take some time in between cooking to make some adjustment in some goals. The biggest obstacle right now Is myself and not letting go. Not letting go of the past, of situations, of the weight, of the burden, of guilt, of poor thinking. And that stops here.

Erasing the past

Starting fresh. Letting go and letting God. And just trusting that all will be just fine.
And I know it will.

Following a very difficult emotional evening from yesterday came a morning where the weather and public transportation interfered too... the sky was grey and moody all day and it was a total reflection of how I was feeling. I didn't make it into work because the bus never showed up and barely missed the downpour.  The sky was the inspiration for my painting

I used watercolor pencils today. for a deeper effect. I am glad that the weekend is only one day away.

Woke up early today and after exercising I was inspired to paint. After it was done I looked at it and said, interesting.

Didn't think much of it.. until this evening, when people that I considered friends hurt me by lying. I guess they really aren't friends right?  So my painting basically predicted my emotional roller coaster.

It was a miserable day, overcast and rainy. Since I am pretty new to  riding a bus I totally forgot that the schedule might be changing  around labor day... so I ended up waiting in the rain and cold (yes I said cold)  both times. Ugh.. now i know better.
So today I decided to paint a dragonfly to brighten  my evening.

I have been blessed with the best friends ever. When my lap top died one lent me her laptop to use, which is why I could continue to post here  and one lent me her ipad because I act like a kid around electronics LOL.  Today I kept on drawing on drawing box and not feeling it. Finally I got something I was happy with. What I don't like about the ipad is that there is really no way I can have total control over the finer details as even the stylus has a thicker  point, unlike my wacom tablet (I know I am way behind times on that ). Anyway it was still fun figuring things out.
