Out Of Control

Had family over and didn't have that much time  to set up my light box or do any major drawing/painting. Did add more lines to the crochet and played with the ipad :D

Yesterday I worked on an insightful exercise with my friend Renate (http://www.emergencehypnotherapy.com) 

 who has helped me over the past couple of years overcome blocks in many areas of my life. One of those blocks was faced last night and it showed up in the form of a yellow amoeba!

Everyone who knows me, knows that circles are my favorite shape. I like that they are smooth, round and fun.  Circles are happy.At least to me, and I love them.  I also love how in my last few drawings the absence of lines and color make the design stand out. So today I decided to introduce some color .. and I have to say I don't care for it. Not at all. But what I think might work would be a splash of it... I will test it on my next piece.

Sometimes it's tough to know what is is going on, on the inside when the outside looks normal.
Just because I smile and laugh it doesn't mean that is my reality. It is what I want you to think my reality is.
How many people do you encounter each day that seem perfectly fine? How many times have you pretended to others that you have it together when in actuality everything around you is falling apart?

The past few days I have been constantly bombarded by news that are not the most pleasant. To top it off, today is exactly one month since I came back from the cruise.... and I miss the sea so much. The highlight of this was getting "Mint" in the mail from my friend Karen @BeadedPillow .  I will take a close up during daylight so you can see the beadwork on it. Did Some sketching today. First one is another sketch for my "Little Girls Lost" series. I have been contemplating about making them more real life looking than  my more cartoon like girls. Just a thought.
Then I was doodling and another butterfly design appeared. Guess its time for my Metamorphosis.

Don't be Scared

As promised cleared the studio area so worked on a piece inspired by a dream. Used Inks that I heat set, nail polish, rubbing alcohol and diamond glaze. I still have to wait for the glaze to dry, will take a picture tomorrow showing the raised areas.

Day 34 Jewelry 2_3_12

Necklace and 5 pairs of earrings.  I enjoyed the sun being out and felt really creative.
I feel that changes are approaching again, and this time I am looking forward to them. I also have some painting ideas that I want to work on. Problem is with sis's injury and sleeping arrangements I have ..ahem...  neglected the studio area :(  So tomorrow I am clearing up space so I can start working on the canvases!
