Day 284

As I was walking back home on this beautiful fall day I saw a tree that triggered my memory
One fall late afternoon in 1996 I was walking on the WestChester University campus going to class when I saw a girl with deep red hair wearing black and black sunglasses sitting under a tree that had fall colors that matched her hair, with fallen leaves in the same palette. The richness of the colors were amplified by the rich colors of the fall sunset. And of course the rays hit her just the right way. There were no cool cell phones then and I didn't carry a camera with me, so I could only take a mental snap shot. I have sketched this scene and painted it hundreds of times with not getting close to it...
That is until today. This is the study of : Changing leaves
